Uncut's 2018 Youth Music Experience at the Crystal Ballroom on 04/15/18

The 2018 Uncut Youth Music Experience was just held at the Crystal Ballroom. The event centered around Uncut’s musical goal – “Through our programs kids can gain access to their local community of musicians, instruments, and local music industry pros”. This event was Uncut’s first official event. The Uncut experience drew numerous music related companies and music artists. The targeted audience leaned to the 10-17 crowd but was open to all ages. The show offered hands on experiences with instruments, equipment, there was the “Green Room sessions” that included songwriting sessions and a Paul Gilbert live performance/lesson and the event concluded with a live concert portion that featured strong local acts including Niamh and One From Many. The Youth Music Experience included prizes and giveaways that featured a signed, Paul Gilbert signature Ibanez model guitar so not bad for a free event. In the end, the show made good on its promise and brought a wealth of music knowledge, experience and in the end inspired people of all ages.
