Seeking Redemption With Terry Robb At Inessa's Robin Road / audio - OMN Legacy story from 2019

By INESSA // There’s a new album from Terry. He was able to do EVERYTHING he does as a player, and put it all into this new record, Confessin’ My Dues. And as any fan will attest, Terry does a lot of different things with his guitars. From electric to acoustic. Many place him among the top fingerstyle blues guitarists of our time. Find out with makes Terry so fingerpickin’ good!

While we wait for the opportunity to sit and dance the way we used to. OMN is bringing back some of our favorite regular features, Marti's Music Kitchen is one and the always-delightful interviews by Inessa with musicians who visited her at her Robin Road home/studio.

Aren't you glad we've been around for over ten years and have these to draw from? -- Ed.

Lean, long, and lanky Terry Robb comes off as a very unassuming sort of guy. Very matter-of-fact as he tells me how he came to music and music to him, as a kid in Vancouver BC. And it’s been nothing but music in his life, ever since. One of the most suprising things I learned during the course of our conversation? He’s never held down a daytime job, as many artists must.  He lives for playing live. And among my favorite nuggets Terry shared?  It’s always good to be around people better than you, at what they do. Back atcha , Terry!

Enjoy our conversation below and a couple of live songs off the new record.  And below that, many other details you won’t want to miss. On live shows and other opportunities to catch Terry in action.

Terry just picked up a  Muddy Award for Northwest Recording of the Year for  Confessin’ My Dues  from the Cascade Blues Association.

Terry is now a voting member of the Recording Academy (NARAS) and for the first time, has submitted several songs from the current album for nomination consideration for this year’s Grammys (!!!).
