Jefferson Smith out at XRAY

In a situation that has been brewing for months, the XRAY board released a statement today.

From the XRAY board of directors:

We want to share the following news. In addition to restructuring the organization and naming a new interim executive director, Jefferson Smith and XRAY.FM will go their separate ways. Jefferson will no longer be associated with XRAY.FM nor host a radio program. XRAY.FM will also end its relationship with KUIK. As part of this process, our board is also working with an outside employment specialist to audit past HR practices and correct errors. The investigation is ongoing and we will do our best to make it right.

We hope that you will continue to support XRAY.FM and the community we are building together. Radio is yours and we remain honored to bring to you.

This week, several longtime DJs have resigned from the station, citing frustration with the board's handling of complaints against Smith.
