Richard Marx has had #1 albums, #1 singles and remains to this day the only male artist in history to have his first seven singles reach the Top 5 on the Billboard charts. The music business quickly took notice and then a new era in his career took off. Richard Marx began songwriting and producing for others like NSYNC, Luther Vandross, and Keith Urban to name a few. His songs have seen triumphs in rock, pop, R&B and country. With that, Richard Marx has earned the distinction of having a song he wrote or co-wrote top the charts in four different decades.

Marx just brought a stripped-down performance to the Muze at Ridgefield, Washington’s Ilani. He has toured the world with a full band, but this show puts what matters the most in the spotlight. The songs. With just his acoustic or at the piano, he sang the music that has defined him as an artist. Fans packed the Muze and sang along with the words throughout the night. Richard Marx also told the funny behind the scenes stories and that made the already intimate performanceeven more personal.
