Devil Makes Three at McDonald Theater, Eugene 11/9/17 Photos / Will return on Halloween

By ADAM GRAVES // A Devil Makes Three photo gallery and preview from their last visit to the McDonald. They'll be back for a Halloween show.

The Devil Makes Three are on the road and touring behind their new studio album Chains are Broken which was released August 24th, making this album the first album of original songs crafted by Pete Bernhard since 2003’s album “Im a stranger Here”. This is not to discredit the release of “Redemption & Ruin” the bands covers of influential artists that inspire their sounds, my favorite being Muddy Watters “Champagne and Reefer”which is a great compilation album by the group. Chains are Broken is an album that the fans have been waiting for and in my case a new favorite that gets played regularly.

The trio has added themselves an addition with Stefan Amidon playing drums on the album and touring with the band. The album is is another folk, punk, bluegrass, and country cocktail that gets you stomping your feet and singing along. Each track is another classic DM3 song that will get you harmonizing with the band as they have call and responses that drag you “deep in my heart I’m a terrible man, deep in my heart I know what I am.” From “Deep down” not to mention a reminiscent guitar sound of the 60’s that give that distinctive Americana sound that DM3 has shaped for themselves. Although this album is new, if your a fan and have seen them live over the last couple of years, you were fortunate to get to her some of these songs live. If you haven’t had a chance yet your in luck.

The band is currently working their way through their European lag of the tour, and will later in October be making one stop in Oregon. On Halloween the group will be at the historic McDonald Theater in Eugene. You’ll want to get your tickets sooner then later, as these guys sell out every time they come to Eugene.

This concert was at the McDonald on 11/9/17
