Welcome To My Nightmare – A Halloween Circus Spectacular at the Alberta Rose Theater on 10/10/26

Haunting Alice Cooper Tribute Band Turns Your Nightmare Into Reality

by Alison Webster

VanCrusos Productions kicked off Halloween festivities, performing a disturbingly astonishing spectacle, capturing the essence of Alice Cooper’s legendary shock-rock theatrical experience.
“Welcome to My Nightmare – A Halloween Circus Spectacular,” Humanary Stew, featuring the music of Alice Cooper, made their debut at the historic Alberta Rose Theatre, transforming the stage into a twisted carnival of horror.

While Humanary Stew was serving up Alice Cooper’s "Hello Hooray", Alice's nightmares came to life with an exceptionally talented cast of dark, demented, theatrical carnival sideshow characters inspired by Alice Cooper's imagination.
Horrifying characters crept around the unsuspecting audience, aerial acrobats dancing, swinging in the air. A contortionist cannibal gorging on human flesh, who then ran out into the audience to offer us some bloody tasty human remains.

The Alberta Rose Theatre proved to be the perfect venue for this elaborate production, accommodating a six-piece band, jaw-dropping aerial artists, an athletic pole dancer, a trio of horn players, an entire class of unruly students, and several creepy, crawling spiders scaling their webs while Humanary Stew played "The Black Widow".
At one moment, a fly buzzed onto the stage, interrupting the tarantula's habitat. One of the spiders managed to capture the unsuspecting intruder in her intricately spun web. Nearby spiders descended from their rope webs to join the feast, devouring their unfortunate prey in a deliciously gruesome display.
I was not expecting dinner with the show!

The twisted spectacle continued with an unforgettable cast of terrifying performers, including a stilt walker who could jump rope,
burlesque dancers, a deranged dentist, and an evil nurse. Each character brought a new level of bizarre, creepy theatricality, making the audience feel as though they had stepped straight into Alice Cooper’s darkest imagination.
The nightmare concluded in a classroom filled with juvenile delinquents ready to unleash chaos on the last day of class during the classic hit "School's Out". The audience even got in trouble, receiving detention slips for their alleged misbehavior. My offense? “Releasing bats into the cafeteria.” OOPS!

The entire production was a masterful blend of live music, choreography, athleticism, and cinematic backdrops, all synchronized with impressive precision. Every element worked together to create an immersive, delightfully disturbing experience that honored the theatrical spirit of Alice Cooper.

The nightmare isn't over yet! You can catch the music of Alice Cooper with Humanary Stew's second show on Halloween at the Headliner's Club in Lake Oswego, where they'll be opening for the Ozzy Osbourne tribute band, Crazy Train.
