In the past week and a half the Oregon Legislature and the Portland City Council have included the arts in general and Oregon music venues in particular in the Federal money designated to aid the public and businesses in order to survive the pandemic. There was no guarantee that the arts were going to be included. Leading that fight has been the Independent Venue Coalition co-founded by Mississippi Studios/Revolution Hall owner (and musician) Jim Brunberg..
