Jenny Conlee at The Old Church 3-26-23 / Photos

Jenny Conlee had an album-release concert at The Old Church on March 26, 2023, for “Tides: Pieces for Accordion and Piano.”

This included seven pieces for accordion, illustrating the seven ancient Greek musical modes; and five ostinato pieces for piano with a more modern jazz-inflected feel. They were completed while Conlee recently did an artists’ residency at the Sou’Wester Lodge in Seaview, Washington.

The second half of the evening she shared with her quartet, and with Casey Neill on guitar. Jon Timm projected live visuals during the solo performances.
