Harefest 8 was billed this year as the “Mother of All Tribute Band Festivals” and this year it did live up to that promise with its 2018 installment. The festival has grown over the years into a monster four-day marathon of tribute bands covering rock n’ roll music from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

These tribute bands go way beyond simply playing covers and bring the authentic look, sound and style of the bands they pay tribute to. What started as a simple idea has grown into much more than that.

Tributes have become a thriving culture in our music community. With that, tribute fans seem to have found a home with Harefest and its fans keep making their yearly pilgrimage back to Pats Acres Racing Complex in Canby.

The festival offers camping, food/drink options, but mainly brings a lot of rock n’ roll to its stage. For the first time, this year’s festival even offered an all ages day with some of the proceeds going to Children’s Cancer Association. Harefest 8 simply put was a place of fun with friends while taking in lots of good times rock n’ roll.
