GLASYS TVPDX Video Series and Starday Tavern Show July 13th

GLASYS’ Gil Assayas has been in Portland for just over 6 months and is well along jumping into the city’s music community. Hailing from Isreal with rock, classical, electronic and jazz influences, GLASYS mixes complex piano pieces with tenacious electronic beats, switching synth styles on keys while joining with staunch and pointed vocals.

He recently performed five tracks for a feature video serious with TVPDX. The videos showcase his pianistic talent, enigmatic to watch as he plays. Featured here is “The Future” from the TVPDX series, an erratic blend of sweeping arpeggios and vigorous back beats.   

GLASYS is currently working on an EP due for release in early September and heading off on a West coast tour in August. Prior to that, you can catch his next [free] show at The Starday Tavern in Portland on Weds July 13^th.
