Get your Mardi Gras on with Galactic

It is only fitting that New Orleans funksters Galactic are swinging through Portland this weekend. After all, Mardi Gras season is well underway.

Funky, endlessly creative, and always entertaining, the band hits the Crystal Ballroom Saturday night Feb. 11.

Their 2015 release "Into the Deep" garnered well-deserved praise and included guests such as JJ Grey, David Shaw, Maggie Koerner, and Macy Gray. They played a terrific set two years ago at the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival. If you haven't caught them live before, it is a welcome dose of funky NOLA jammin' being thrown dowwn.

ON TOUR: Galactic appears at the Crystal Ballroom Feb. 11. Doors are at 7pm and tickets are still available.
