"In the historical category, it's not often that you get to work with the artist, right? Much less an artist that trusts you with their legacy and their art," Pawelski said in her acceptance speech. "So first, thank you Jeff Tweedy and Wilco."
The winning album is a box set comprised of 11-LPs and one CD, including Wilco's 2002 "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" remastered, 84 previously unreleased tracks, a 2002 concert recording, a book and more.
Pawelski has had a total of six Grammy award nominations, all in the Best Historical Album category. Her previous wins were for "It's Such A Good Feeling: The Best Of Mister Rogers" and "The Garden Spot Programs, 1950."
Over the past three decades, Pawelski has produced or supervised recordings, reissues and boxed sets for Aretha Franklin, the Beach Boys, the Band, Miles Davis, Rod Stewart, Willie Nelson, Warren Zevon, Otis Redding and others. She has also worked on soundtracks for "Fiddler on the Roof," "Raging Bull," "Juno" and other films.
