Pseudoboss: PDX Spotlight's August show // full video

Watch Noah Stroup, Justin Gibson and Charley McGowan perform.

With no true bassist, you might not expect the Portland trio pseudoboss to sound as good as they do.  Singer/guitarist Noah Stroup essentially accomplishes the sound of a bass by running his six string guitar and Pog active pedal through his bass amp.   The effect of Stroup’s ability to play two notes at the same time, Justin Gibson’s driving guitar and Charley McGowan’s energetic drumming produces a heavy sound reminiscent of 70’s classic rock bands.
