Giants in the Trees is a newer band featuring Nirvana’s Kris Novoselic (bass/accordion), Jillian Raye (vocals/banjo), Ray Prestagard (guitar/harmonica) and Erik Friend (drums). The group currently has its first single out. The song “Sasquatch”, which is a blend of various music styles including rock and touches of country. Giants in the Trees are in the process of writing new material and have been road testing these new tracks live. Portland was treated to one of these shows and the band just played The Fixin To.
