Storm Large Gives Benefit 'Porch Concert", Portland 4-26-2020 Photos

Storm Large, with her long-time friend and pianist James Beaton, gave a livestreamed ‘porch concert’ for half an hour on a lovely, warm spring afternoon. Filmed by Stephen Cassell, this went out on FaceBook Live (her ‘pajama concerts are livestreamed on Instagram), and she hopes that this will spur support for www.gimmeshelterpdx.org.

This is a new organization started by her and Howie Bierbaum to support housing assistance for the decimated entertainment and music community. A fundraising goal of $50,000 has already been established and is about one-third funded, and checks are already going out to performers who are at risk of losing their housing.
