Rose City Comic Con is no longer just about comics. It's a vibrant celebration of culture in which cosplay, art, and creativity collide for one weekend every September. Featuring drag shows, lip sync competitions, and a dance party at WonderLove, RCCC had costumed fans parading around the convention center and auxiliary venues all weekend long much to delight of passing Portlanders. Thank you to RCCC for letting OMN tag along this weekend during such events as the Goonies cast reunion and our main man Bruce Campbell promoting his new film "Ernie & Emma" shot entirely in Oregon.

By TOM D'ANTONI // Jim Friscia, a Portland music veteran, is President of Swan Songs Portland which gifts private concerts to folks near the end of life since and it financially compensates musicians for performing those concerts.

They have benefit shows every other month. Their next benefit show is Thursday, September 18 at Artichoke Music featuring Karyn Ann.
