Portland's Folk Festival began in 2018 at McMenamin's White Eagle as a way for Portland musicians to come together with national artists to celebrate the burgeoning local scene and enjoy each other.and local artist. You are in for some fun this weekend! It's gonna be a love fest. All proceeds go to our friends at Sunstone Way and Music Portland. Headlining is Olive Klug. She will celebrate her local roots. Her first live performance ever was an open mic at Artichoke Music when she was 15.
The headliners and the outstanding cast of local artists bring the excitement, celebration and serendipity to the stage. You can be sure that the sets will be (fluid) and fun.
National artists, the Rainbow Girls, are bringing their marvelous harmonies and wicked sense of humor to close the night on Friday with Handmaid Moments preceding them are bringing their masterful and sneaky heavy messages with lighthearted melodies and arrangements, .As a hint, Rainbow Girls and Handmaid moments just released their collaborative cover of the Spice Girls cover -It will knock your socks off!
Headlining the local stars is Johnny Franco and his Real Brother Dom. Festival producers Scotty Gilmore and Sarah Vitort, Fox and Bones, are "excited to get the community together! Our goal is to celebrate the local talent and amplify the talent on a big stage and national stars." As a bonus, they've given a set on the main stage to the "Song contest winner Michael Whitaker will be on the main stage!"

Olive Klug refuses to be put in a box. Working out who you are in front of an ever-growing audience is no small task, but one that the Portland-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter is up for and thriving.
Rainbow Girls are a three-piece singing group made up of Erin Chapin, Caitlin Gowdey, and Vanessa Wilbourn from the North Bay area of California.In the fall of 2018, the band received wide exposure when their video of Alvin Robinson's "Down Home Girl" received several million views on Facebook. Their video for “Down Home Girl” (originally performed by Robinson and popularized by The Rolling Stones, The Coasters, and Old Crow Medicine Show).
