Major thanks to Paul K Ward for the technical end since he and today’s guest are at Paul’s studio blue and I’m at my desk in Northwest Portland.

Our guest today has been here before, but a long time ago…November of 2016 to be exact when he was indicted…uh inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame.

Paul Brainard plays a lot of instruments in a lot of different ways with a lot of different people.

First of all, hello again Paul. I don’t know if I ever told you this but one time I saw you play Thelonious Monk on a steel guitar (I think it was) when you played a gig with David Vest. (I think it was.) …and I was quite amazed at how perfect it was. That WAS you wasn’t it?
