Lloyd Jones: Coffeeshop Conversations #158 / The guitar slinger abides

By TOM D'ANTONI // There's only one Lloyd Jones, the great Blues and Soul singer/guitarist/composer comes by the coffeeshop to shoot the shit.

Glad to be back in the cupping room here at World Cup Coffee and Tea for another OMN Coffeeshop Conversation.

Also very glad to bring back Lloyd Jones, who has been bringing us Blues and Soul since dinosaurs ruled the earth. He was last in here in way back in June of 2015…we’ve been doing these things for a while now, huh?

Whether he’s singing, guitar slinging or playing Delta Blues on his trusty Martin acoustic guitar, he’s one of the guardians of the groove.

He’s been to Europe again, and well…everywhere except fishing.

He performed at the first Waterfront Blues Festival and when he’s not on the road plays all over town, as he always has.

The tune at the end is his signature song "Doing What It Takes."

Let’s catch up with Lloyd Jones.
