Lake Street Dive announce new album

Lake Street Dive is one of those bands that flew under my radar for a long time and I didn't get hip to their sound until last fall. And am I glad I did.

While scrolling through some YouTube videos one day, I came across a terrific cover of Rich Girl that was recorded at Pickathon in 2013. I've been hooked on their sound since then and was stoked to see that they've got a new album coming out this spring.

If you like a rocking, soulful sound and lyrics that just flow with emotion, then this is a band that you should check out. Rachael Price's vocals are powerful, filled with amazing inflection and range.

Check out her performance on the video the band just dropped of Good Kisser from their forthcoming release "Free Yourself Up", out May 4th on Nonesuch Records.

Tour dates in support of the album are starting to be released and the band has one Seattle date on the schedule, but so far nothing in Portland. I certainly hope that changes and will keep you posted.
