The Juke Box Heroes Tour features Foreigner, Whitesnake and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience. The tour name is fitting as these bands are some of rock’s most loved and respected.

The tour just came through Ridgefield, Washington playing the Sunlight Supply Amphitheater. Jason’s Bonham’s Led Zeppelin’s

Experience kicked off the night by paying tribute to the music of Led Zeppelin and to Jason’s late father, John Bonham. Whitesnake followed and they proved that these 80s rockers still have it live. Lead Singer, David Coverdale showed the power of his singing voice and still put on a great show for his fans. Another one of the Whitesnake’s strengths is its two guitar players Reb Beach (of Winger) and Joel Hoekstra (of Night Ranger).

These guys combined guitar talents really put on a guitar show. Fan favorites, “Here I Go Again” and “Still of the Night” ended their set on a high note. It was now Foreigner’s turn who first started in the 70s and now has been on its 40th Anniversary tour. After four decades of great song writing, this band is still is great live.

At the heart of Foreigner is Mick Jones, who is a member of the elite, Songwriters Hall of Fame and for good reason. His songwriting and guitar playing is the backbone to Foreigner’s success and their live setlist included some of classic rock’s favorite songs. Lead singer, Kelly Hansen (of Hurricane fame) took over the vocals for Lou Gramm in 2005 and has become a true staple in this band. He brings a fun element to their live show, gives a high energy performance and he really connects to the band’s fans.

Foreigner showed their continued strength packing in the crowds at the amphitheater and showing they are far from rock n roll has beens. A true highlight of their set included their hit song, “I Want to Know What Love Is” that featured our local Battle Ground High School Choir. These boys and girls really did a great job at the big show. After the pyro and smoke bombs settled for the encore of “Hot Blooded”, fans had just seen one of the best Amphitheater shows of this season.
