Eric Stern: Premiere of his new video series Jukebox Radio
Eric Stern plays Le Clochard de Paris in the debut episode of the new weekly "Jukebox Radio" series. Look for them every week on OMN.
Hi there, my name is Eric Stern, and I tell stories with music. I've appeared on NPR and performed at the Kennedy Center,The Great American Music Hall, Joe’s Pub in NYC in San Francisco, throughout the Northwest, and internationally from Portland to Paris to Poland. But right now, I'll be appearing in your living room! No, don't get out your masks and hide the fridge!
I just mean that I've got an exciting new Youtube series, Jukebox Radio, where I perform a song and then go deeper into the details. It's sort of a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making music. After experiencing many months of the Covid shut-down, with venues where I play unavailable, I decided that I still wanted to perform and would find a way! Well, through the science of video and audio I'm giving you a show straight from my garrett studio, every week. And I'm SO excited to have Oregon Music News cover this work! Now sit back, pour yourself a glass and enjoy!
The first episode of JUKEBOX RADIO.This week's work is Gisela Probst's Le Clochard de Paris. In this video I play a charming little French cafe song and then delve into the structure and instruct accordionists on how to make a song sound more Parisian. I also discuss the concept of making your solo integrated and coherent.
PLEASE SUPPORT MY WORK BY TIPPING ME ON MY WEBSITE: http://ericsternevents.com/merchandise/ I'd love to keep doing this. All the venues here in Portland Oregon are closed for now, but even if that weren't true it's time to play my trade in the cybersphere!
