Cascade Equinox Festival is Around the Bend

By LUCY PEPPER // The countdown for the inaugural Cascade Equinox Festival at Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond, OR has begun. The festival will take place September 22nd-24th, 2023 amid the backdrop of the magnificent Cascade Mountain Range right outside of Bend, OR. Veteran event organizers Gem & Jam and 4 Peaks Presents have united forces to provide an impressive multi-genre lineup and legion of on-site activities.

The countdown for the inaugural Cascade Equinox Festival at Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond, OR has begun. True to its name, the festival will take place September 22nd-24th, 2023 amid the backdrop of the magnificent Cascade Mountain Range right outside of Bend, OR. Veteran event organizers Gem & Jam and 4 Peaks Presents have united forces to provide an impressive multi-genre lineup and legion of on-site activities.

Cascade Equinox Festival 2023 will be headlined by Pretty Lights and Goose. Pretty Lights made a unique and indelible mark on the EDM scene with his 2006 debut release Taking Up Your Precious Time. Derek Vincent Smith, the man behind Pretty Lights, brought a breath of fresh air into the scene with music that he self describes as electro hip-hop soul. Pretty Light’s last live performance was his 10 Year Red Rocks Amphitheater show in 2018. Cascade Equinox Festival and Hulaween, along with his Soundship Spacesystem Tour which includes 27 total dates in 9 cities, marks the long anticipated end of Pretty Light’s 5 year hiatus. The time has come, we are finally moving.

The lineup across the board is stacked, a smorgasbord of artists to satisfy any fan’s itch, whether one’s preference is EDM, funk, folk, bluegrass, jam or a mix of across the board itself. An entire stage will be dedicated to regional acts from the PNW. The festival grounds span across 340-acres with offerings beyond those available to your ears. Cascade Healing Garden will provide calm and restorative space for those seeking respite from the beautiful chaos, with offerings such as reiki, soundbaths, and massages. There will also be a kid’s zone, culinary offerings featuring local cuisine, art installations, a vendor marketplace, and holding true to the fairgrounds, carnival rides.

Multiplie camping and lodging options are available. In addition to car camping and RV passes, Alpenglow Campground, the festival’s centrally located boutique campground, offers lounge spaces, private bathrooms, charging stations, and more. Additional glamping options and hotel packages are available. Wherever you decide to lay your head at night, or during the day, Cascade Equinox Festival’s maiden event is a voyage that would be foolish to miss.
