By MIKE BURLING // This month’s episode features Black Pistol Fire. The duo is live at the Hathorne Theater in one of the most entertaining shows you’ll see.
First, let’s get this out of the way….there’s no way these guys are from Canada, right? It’s true, but these two hard rocking Toronto natives now call Austin home and are exactly what you’d expect from a couple of Texas rockers. You may not know Black Pistol Fire by name but they haven’t exactly flown under the radar over the past few years.
They have shared the stage with such big names as Heart, ZZ Ward, Weezer and Gary Clark Jr. to name a few. In early 2019 PDX Spotlight producers caught them at the NAMM Gibson Showcase along side Peter Frampton, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Nancy Wilson (Heart) and a host of highly respected musicians.
They not only held their own but impressed PDX Spotlight enough to earn an invite to the show. This is a band you must see live to get the full experience but if you missed them, this is the next best thing. This month’s episode features the duo live at the Hathorne Theater in one of the most entertaining shows you’ll see for a while. Check out this below and all previous episodes at PDXSpotlight.com
