Maren Morris w/ Scout Willis at Grand Lodge Concerts on 7/22/26

By CHRISTINA HALL //

A feminine dose of florals, denim and cowboy boots could be seen as fans lined up through security after a lightning storm that rushed through the Grand Lodge Concerts in Forest Grove. The weather only slightly cut through the 100 degrees the Portland-area felt that day. It was the dreamGIRL tour’s third-to-last show, a celebration of 10 years since her album HERO.

The crowd felt full for the opening act, where Scout Willis came out bringing ethereal energy with her suited-up band. Maren Morris’ set squeezed every moment left of daylight. There was a sense of ease onstage. She included a few old but new songs she wrote 10 years ago and added to her release of the aforementioned album. Included songs were Hard Liquor and Soft Rock, which started the dancing for the evening, and We Can’t Be Friends, where the artist shared that it was written when she and her ex-husband were still together and how, even through separation, he harmonized the latest rendition. Familiar tracks throughout, including a cover of Beyoncé’s Halo.

The artist provided an emotionally safe space where families could be seen dancing throughout the night and wrapped up just in time for a second round of storms to come through the area.
