David Leiken Retirement Party at the Roseland Theater on 12/10/2023 - Photos

After 52 years in the music business, Portland concert promoter, venue owner and artist manager David Leiken celebrated his retirement on Sunday night with guests including live performances from Terry Robb, U Crew, Curtis Salgado, and Marlon McClain. David founded Double Tee Concerts in 1972, and produced the largest concert event in Oregon history at Autzen Stadium in 1994.

He managed the Paramount Theater and the Roseland Theater in Portland, along with founding Double Tee and Fastixx. He also managed numerous artists including Pleasure, Nu Shooz, Shock, Sequel, and Lilla. Terry Currier and Bob Ancheta organized the event, and commissioned me to create this piece of Portland history to present to David… the painting captures David Leiken’s celebrated career and the music scene in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and the 2000's.

Wonderful evening and welcomed so many people that are involved, supportive and passionate about music and The music community sharing their heartfelt and often funny memories of knowing David Leiken. Hats off to Dave's retirement in a life well lived doing what he's best at.
