The Barr Brothers bring lofty sounds to Wonder Ballroom Friday

Montreal's The Barr Brothers swing through Portland on Friday with a stop at the Wonder Ballroom. The band just wrapped up a European run opening for The War On Drugs and their current headlining tour is their largest North American run to date, with dates in the Northeast, Midwest, and a trip up the I-5 corridor.

The band features brothers Brad and Andrew Barr, and harpist Sarah Pagé providing layers that carry the music through lofty heights. Their sound is rooted in elements of folk and alt-rock. The band's latest release, "Queens of the Breakers", was released in October.
