Portland-based Talk Modern delivers a compelling debut video that hits you in the heart.
"Not Enough” is about turning the tables on someone who has been using you emotionally and physically. It's the sound of me ending a love affair. It's the realization that I'm worth more than what I'm getting back," describes songwriter and vocalist Nicolas Doñez.
A collaboration between Doñez and multi-instrumentalist Josh Collopy (Rio Rio, Indigoe), Talk Modern describes themselves as “Sensual Synth Pop, fusing elements of 90’s R&B, 80’s ballads and guitar-driven Indie pop into one sleek, genre-bending package."
Tapped to shoot and direct the video in Portland's North Warehouse stark setting was Jov Luke of Hymn & Hearse (who has also directed videos for local notables No Kind of Rider and RedRay Frazier). Starring Doñez (vocals), Collopy (guitar), Kyle Kelly Yahner (drums) and Dustin Brown (keys).
The band is on track to release their EP "XO" this summer,
