Old School Throwback Jam at the Moda Center on 03/02/18 Photos

The Old School Throwback Jam just came through Portland. This pop music flashback show put on by Pacific Concert Group and was held at the Moda Center. The show was set in the cool, Theater In the Clouds more intimate format.

This tour features Stevie B, Lisa Lisa and The Cult Jam, Expose, Taylor Dayne, Evelyn Champagne King, The Jets, Tag Team, 69 Boyz, JJ Fad and Newcleus. This tour combination pulls together 70s, 80s and 90s pop music hit makers. The show had a stripped-down stage production minus its full live backing bands that without those lengthy set changes made the show move quickly throughout the night with the main performers as the focus.

The show blazed through its long list of performers flawlessly and treated fans to their popular radio/MTV hits. Some may label some musicians as “One hit wonders”, but in this line-up, these artists have numerous hits. Even for those with a single hit to their credit, these artists deserve their due respects for the fact their songs have stood the test of time. This tour was a fun trip down the memory lane of pop music history and a nice combo of artists
