Lilla talks with Inessa / The Making of Conscious Music and Dreaming the Dream

By INESSA // Music, the creative tasks, and cultivation of art is the story behind Lilla listen to a conversation with her, Inessa, Matthew Flowers and Sammy Eisen-Meyers.

A recent afternoon at Robin Road spent in the ever-constant task of pulling together the connective strand of how we all come together. How we all know each other. And the languages we hold in common.

The Making of Conscious Music and Dreaming the Dream

Music, the creative tasks, and cultivation of art is the story behind Lilla who began in Portland, jumped variously to LA, New Orleans, Boston and with next stop on the road, New York. Matthew Flowers and Sammy Eisen-Meyers are part of this journey. Here’s a brief glimpse into how we each dream our dreams. Matthew remarks in our conversation that there is value certain places have that are able to provide “dream space”, as he calls it.  Check out two of Lilla’s songs, caught live during our session: “Don’t Stop the Music” and “Way Down South”.

  ABOUT LILLA

A blend of soul, hip hop and pop with a jazzy twist. Speaking from her heart, Lilla’s album “The Awakening” is a testament to power of music and its ability to bring together, culture and people, from around the globe through. It was recorded all over the map from Bob Marley’s Studio in Kingston, JA (Tuff Gong), to Lilla’s home town Portland, OR. It has both a contemporary and throw back sound.

Here’s a taste of Lilla’s show caught live last month at The Roseland.
