By SCOTT CUNNINGHAM // Co-written with Ray Wylie Hubbard, Desperate Man packs a rockin' groove.
Sometimes the stars perfectly align for two artists to collaborate.
Last year, Eric Church made a guest vocal appearance on the title track from Ray Wylie Hubbard's album "Tell the Devil I'm Gettin' There as Fast as I Can".
Fast forward a year and we find the collaboration continuing: Church and Hubbard have paired up to write Desperate Man, the title track from Church's upcoming album scheduled for release on Oct. 5.
The track has an incredible groove, sweet vocals, and lyrics that perfectly capture the essence of a man up against the ropes waiting for his woman to return.
Hubbard explained the origin of the song earlier today in a Tweet:
eric said lets write about a desperate man. i said i once was so desperate i went to a fortune teller to get my future read and she said i didn't have one. he smiled, laid down a groove and we rode it to town.. https://t.co/BrjLA7zwTQ
