Duffy Bishop: Coffeeshop Conversations #104 : Busting back in town for some blazing shows

By TOM D'ANTONI // A band reunion at Alberta Rose Theatre on June 18 and the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival among others

It’s another day in the coffeeshop and another OMN Coffeeshop Conversation at World Cup Coffee and Tea NW 18th and Glisan in Portland.

A reminder that you can find these on iTunes, SoundCloud and TuneIn. Just search for Oregon Music News and there we are.

Today in the coffeeshop we’ve got Blues/Soul singer Duffy Bishop, who moved a couple of years ago to Florida, with her cats and husband and collaborator Chris Carlson.

She comes back to Portland to perform now and then. This is the now. She’s got a big show at Alberta Rose Theatre on June 18 and she’ll be at the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival.

We’ll find out all about them and why they moved, and how the cats are. She’s such an institution around here that they named the best vocalist Muddy Award after her because she won it so much.

And now, Duffy Bishop
