The 2015 holiday season ushered in the traditional Holidays With the Trail Band benefit show at the Aladdin Theater. The Trail Band features Marv and Rindy Ross from Quaterflash along with good friends and band mates Mike Doherty, Phil & Gayle Neuman, Eddie Parente, Cal Scott and Dan Stueber.

This year's musical guest was the talented, Liz Vice and improve was provided by Scott Parker, who plays the role of the six year old Harold. His telling of the Christmas story is a hilarious highlight every year he does it. The Holidays With the Trail Band show as a whole is a benefit in support for the Friends of the Children, a local mentoring program that helps poverty stricken youth. This holiday show has become a Portland tradition and in turn the show has helped raise a lot of money over the years for its great cause. Their show is really a special event and it really reminds you what they holidays are truly all about.

The show blends traditional holiday music, original music and holiday story telling. The Trail Band do multiple days in Portland and sells out performances every year. Their Sunday performance for one, which was their 100th holiday show finished a run of ten shows in ten days. There are some interesting musical instruments in their arsenal and they give you a truly unique performance unlike anything you have seen.

The Trail Band also introduced new music from their newest cd, Joyride. The cd is their 13th as a group and the proceeds go to the cause as well. Pretty cool stuff. With all this said, the Trail Band are good people, talented musicians and in the process doing good things for others. Their show really is a real holiday treat. Its a win win for everyone.
