Madonna at MODA Center on 10/17/15 - Photos

By BRENT ANGELO // The Queen of Pop connects with fans, shows her personal side Was there a better show in 2015?

Madonna felt more intimate than normal. This huge pop star would not just stand on the big stage, but she would get up close and personal on pathways that led her into the crowd of her many fans. The show kicked of with Iconic from here current Rebel Heart and was elaborate in production. Even though the show was big, Madonna was still easily in reach, connecting with her fans on a more personal level and even showing them her personal and emotional side. Some songs like Secret were stripped down to their core with just her and an acoustic guitar. This personal side was a real treat to see and hear. With that said, Madonna looked stunning through numerous costume changes and clearly showed that she was giving us her all. Madonna spiced up some fan favorites like Dress You Up by putting Spanish twists on them. Burning Up rocked featured her playing a metal style Flying V. The 2015 Rebel Heart tour really is a tour de force of pop music, dance moves and theatrics. Madonna has paved the way for some, but her show shows that she still leads the way. Not only did we get to see our Material Girl in concert but we also got to see what a great concert's potential can be.

Madonna has had such a huge impact on our pop culture. As a woman and artist, she has broken down barriers like no other. Her storied music career dates back to the early 80s, has evolved over the years, but she still remains current and relevant. Madonna is one who has started trends and at the same time never followed them. Along the way, she has raised some eye brows, caused much controversy, and always pushed the envelope. Her sexuality for example has always been strong, fueling her music and showing that she was the one in charge. She is no ordinary woman, but a true icon of our time.
